The comfort of radiant heating

Choosing radiant heating for your home or business is one that is best observed while in a sitting position.  Adding the comfort of radiant to your heating system is a decision you will love while you are enjoying the comfort, but may hestiate to add when the cost of the installation is revealed.  A properly designed and installed radiant heating system with the all important "smart" control system will be an investment (an investment in comfort and economy of operation).  I approach the addition of radiant to a home in stages, a basic installation to a more expansive coverage of the floor plan.  Clients often come to me desiring radiant throughout the home, only to scale back to a more realistic coverage of the areas where the comfort will be enjoyed the most (bathrooms, kitchen, tile floors, living room). 

   I enjoy radiant heating in select areas of my home and would NEVER consider living in a home without it (especially with tile or stone floors).  It adds such an ambiance of warmth that it is hard to imagine walking on a cold floor again.  The key to accepting the added cost is to design the heating system into the budget early.
