1st place :2008 Quality Home Comfort Awards Berman residence / Heath MA
2008's award winning design was a tremendous project located in Heath Ma. The home and pool addition was designed by Austin Design of Colrain Mass ( BIll Austin- 413-624-9669 / www.austindesign.biz) and built by Jay Heilman Construction. I had the privilege of providing the HVAC and plumbing work for this project- fully testing my abilities with the complexity of the requirements. The project featured a renovated post and beam structure (original residence) and 1200 sq ft indoor pool wing . The design features a Weil McLain ULtra gas boiler serving all of the home's space heating and hot water needs (including radiant floor heating, radiant wall panels, pool heating, pool air heating, domestic hot water heating and hydroair for the main house!). A Carrier Infinity 3 zone air system serves the main house and a Dry Air pool climate control system serves the pool space. The home and pool wing is a stellar example of fine architecture and the homeowners have been unbelievably amazing to work with as well! (an Austin Design trademark!)
Orchard Valley Heating and Cooling has been presented with two national design / installation awards this past year! A Radiant Panel Association System Showcase award and most recently, a Contracting Business magazine "Quality Home Comfort Award" for a radiant / hydro-air residence in Heath Mass. This remarkable home was designed by Austin Design of Colrain MASS (413-624-9669) and features an amazing indoor lap pool. Take a look at the awards page for more info.
